Saint Ursula Academy is a Catholic, college-preparatory, secondary school for young women, started by the Ursuline Sisters of Cincinnati in the spirit of St. Angela Merici, their foundress. Educating students since 1910, the Academy carries a distinguished tradition of academic excellence, innovation, and service. Saint Ursula educates the whole person and prepares young women for leadership in a global society.

Talented administrators, faculty, and staff are dedicated to the school’s mission of encouraging academic excellence and empowering each student to become a woman of faith, integrity, and courage committed to building a better world.

Saint Ursula Academy offers an intensive four-year program in the fields of English, mathematics, science, social studies, French, Spanish, Latin, and religion. Four-year programs also are offered in Art, Design, and Theatre. There is a rich selection of electives, many exclusive to SUA. A high school placement test is required of all prospective freshmen students. A limited number of academic scholarships are based on the results of this test. In line with our mission, additional funds are offered as financial assistance to students who qualify.

The Academy also offers a program for college-bound, highly motivated young women of above-average ability who have dyslexia or other learning disabilities. Students with diagnosed learning disabilities are completely mainstreamed within the college-preparatory curriculum through the Educational Services Program, which began in 1983 at Saint Ursula.

A Saint Ursula education offers much more than strong academics. It intertwines moral values and standards of excellence, exercises in Christian leadership and service in family, Church, and society. Saint Ursula Academy seeks cultural and socio-economic diversity by drawing students from the entire Cincinnati area to its beautiful campus centrally located in East Walnut Hills.
